Dr. Nicola Maffiuletti, researcher of the Zurich clinic gave a lecture at our Faculty on the applicability of nerve-muscle stimulation

Dr. Nicola Maffiuletti is a world-known expert in the field of neuromuscular electrical stimulation and its application in rehabilitation. The expert arrived at the invitation of the Institute of Sports Science and Physical Education (STI) and gave a presentation to doctors, physiotherapists, sports professionals and students.

The institute's biomechanics research group has also set up an investigation protocol, which they intend to implement as a collaboration with Dr. Maffiuletti and the Department of Sports Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine. During the pilot measurement, a T-one Medi Sport electrostimulation device was also installed, which was provided free of charge by the Italian medical device manufacturer IACER.
