The GreenPE project has been launched

The goal of GreenPE is the implementation and validation of an innovative higher education physical education model, which is aimed at the sustainability of the environment and health.

With the coordination of the Institute of Sports Sciences and Physical Education and three V4 partners (Charles University, Prague, University of Physical Education, Krakow, Catholic University, Ruzomberok), the GreenPE project was launched, in which low-energy outdoor exercise will be provided to the general, non-athlete university students for the development of mental and physical fitness and health behavior.

The 20-week exercise program and theoretical course will be implemented by the GreenPE experts in parallel in all four institutions from September 2024, whose psycho-sociological and physical effects will be published in June 2025.

The project is co-financed by the Governments of the Czechia, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance ideas for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.
